Sasori

August 30, 2007

I loved these images of Sasori of Red Sands.Sasori, the strongest ninja Sand has seen. He killed the Third Kazekage, who was presumed to be the strongest sand ninja till then.

sasori no dana.. Sasori one more Sasori Sasori one more

let me add a Pein and Itachi too.. Pein and Uchiha Itachi, the prodigy require no introduction.(Shall i say Uzumaki Pein or Nimikaze Pein as I speculate :P )

He has never lost a battle so far! Itachi sama!

This is one of the mind boggling spoilers I came across(Pein was not revealed back then! nonetheless the image is soo interesting) Nimikaze Minato(Fourth) is the strongest ninja the series has seen.

Awesome

Naruto, his son is the only one who can surpass him as kakashi mentions a few chapters ago. I am dying to see some more information on him.

Carroms

August 28, 2007

I took to carroms two years ago. During our second year my friends used to play carroms regularly and they used to drag me along with them to fill the shortage in players. I am the worst in the group and I used to scowl at them for using me to fill the gap. I tried and tried but my game was always the same; it refused to improve.

I slowly began to fall in love with the game. I constantly tried and tried to improve my game by polishing off mistakes. The more I played, the better I understood and enjoyed the game. I was enthralled to see the mind boggling strategies, tactics, skills involved in that game which made it appear like chess. Whenever I saw a new move, I used to emulate it as a player equipped with more moves is at advantage. Madhuhaas, Manoj, Sandeep and Pramod used to astound and inspire me ceaselessly with their skills.

Fellow players used to develop their own moves by perennially experimenting various configurations. Once one masters a move, it becomes a target for the rest of us to grab as each move comes with its own advantage. This incessant thirst used to take the game to a different level with each passing day. There were times when I played carroms for 8 hours in a day!!! We begin after dinner and used continue till 5am in the morning!

I want to reflect on the change of my perspective towards the game over time. When I was a beginner ,I could not understand much of the game, and I labelled it as a ‘boring game where luck plays everything’. Now it became an exciting, captivating and enthralling game for me. Therefore Outlook of sth/someone depends on the level of interaction, perhaps. A few days ago, I stumbled on these videos of Carroms worldcup on google videos which have loads of surprises in store for me or any other carroms enthusiast for that matter. The better one performs, nearer he will move towards the line called Perfection.

Thanks to all my friends for helping me realise this which in turn helped me in enjoying it avidly.

note: I’ve lost my singles game in carroms tournament today and I avow to make up for it by bagging the first place in the doubles segment. (going too far?! bragging about doubles where game is dependent on partner as well! Withal, It is healthy to pursue a goal now n thn)

update1: We’ve been to quarter finals with the help of 2 byes plus a win. 2 more matches and it’ll be finals and 1 more then to make it a history.

last update: we lost the game though we played decently. score is 25-0. my carroms dreams are shattered now.

random things

August 25, 2007

* At last found the song “Sash – Adelante”. I’ve been searching for the song for the past 5 years without knowing the name or language. The only piece of information that i’ve is that it is from bacardi blast.

* Reading an awesome book called Princess by John Sasson. It is a biography of a princess in Saudi Arabia’s noble family. It contained a detailed account of their dogmatic customs which they follow with point precision. A female is a naught in their eyes. Maintaining four wives is a well-accepted custom(?!). I was shocked to see the way in which a Saudi-male behaves. Retching!! It changed my perspective of the lives of Islamic women. To think that such behavior is in practice sends shudders through my spine.

* I was reading some random posts from random blogs and suddenly this urge to write a post enveloped me. I had to relent :) This post is a result of a caprice :)

naruto

August 17, 2007

This is an impromptu post. If you don’t know about naruto, google it up! Only those who are from naruto verse can feel the post. For others, can’t help it guys!

I took to naruo 6 months back. It is very interesting right from the beginning. Now I reached a level where I refresh the mangahelpers

Akatsuki

picture of antagonists in this series.

website throughout the friday night for the manga in order to grab it at the moment of its arrival.

Thanks to couple of pals over here, I can speculate about the story line. They correct me if my predictions are awry. I am a part of a naruto community in orkut where a good number of enthusiasts share their views, comments, etc,. The unending flow of spoilers pumps adrenaline and keeps everyone guessing. These spoilers range from fan made fiction to photographed manga images. Though they are not usually credible, but are sufficient to let our imagination run wild. The best thing about them is that, these spoilers can be verified at the end of the week and they change every week unlike Harry potter counterparts. To write a gripping series like this which has been captivating audience since 7 years, Kishimato must be a genius. Icing on the cake is that, like in many story lines, the antagonists in this series are elite geniuses. It gives a kick when the opponent is so powerful, thrilling the readers whenever the villains are mentioned/encountered in the series.

In fact the name of this blog is taken from this series. Pein is the the leader of the antagonistic group called Akatsuki.

Orkut

August 13, 2007

Orkut is a gloomy website aimed at wasting user’s time saved by the insanely quick google searches. Google took up this project to make up for the time they are saving through their ever improving search techniques. Orkut seldom works and displays messages like -

Bad, bad server. No donut for you.

Perplexingly, the orkut.com server is functioning properly without any glitches. Hopefully, it will return to its useless self if you try again in a few minutes.

It’s higly unlikely that the server will behave this way during the coming months. We are not at all bothered about our server’s lack of consideration for others.

Everyone has a thoroughly edited or plagiarized, seemingly impressive profile to stupefy the wanderers who unfortunately chose to view their profile. Users identify their popularity with the number of friends, fans, profile views, testimonials and scraps.(I know of a girl who took to distress as there was a sudden decline in her profile views. There are some who compose or prolly lift a testimonial and badger their friends to ascribe it to them. pathetic!). Whenever they come across some profile which sounds Greek and Hebrew, they’ll resort to ctrl-c and ctrl-v to accrue their existing profile information hoping that it’ll soar their popularity, high enough to land them in the forbes’ list of most influential people in the world. Some resort to mutual-fan campaigns. They treat number of fans as if it was thier predicted life-expectancy.

why new blog ?

August 9, 2007

Let me jot down the reasons for new blog -

1. I don’t like the attention the previous blogs are garnering as I advertised them in our blogroll.

2. To show-off my devotion towards naruto.

3. When something is anew, it breaks the incumbent rule and gives a new start.

4. I got too personal with my previous blogs and the realisation kept me away from blogs, for a while.

5. To log the final year of the college life and to reminisce when I go through the entire blog again.

6. As I believe that the best way to master vocabulary and language is to use it. A blog provides me a platform to try out new words, phrases and expressions.
